Reed Celebrates International Peace Day!

First Responders from Northwest Homer Fire Department and Will County Sheriff's department visited Reed School on International Peace Day.  They read Peace Week in Miss Fox's Class by Eileen Spinelli.  In the story Miss Fox gets tired of her students quarreling and announces that it is "Peace Week" in her class.  The theme of the story challenges the students to think about peace and rules that are made to promote peace.  It is a fun story that has great examples of how to respond to someone who may not be so nice to you. And these responses promote peace.

The story is summed up at the end with the character Squirrel saying, "Let's make every week Peace Week!"
