Open Board Seat

  • The Will County School District 92 Board of Education has an open seat due to the resignation of a member as of Sept. 20, 2022.  The Board will appoint a new member to serve from November 2022 until the next election in April 2023. 

     
    According to Illinois School Code (105ILCS 5/10-3; 10-11) the requirements to serve on the Board of Education include the following:
    • A resident of District 92 for at least one year
    • At least 18 years old
    • Registered to vote
    • Not a child sex offender or convicted of a felony

    The timeline for this position is provided below:
    • Sept. 20, 2022 - Board of Education discusses plans for filling the vacant seat
    • Sept. 21, 2022 - Vacancy is posted on the District 92 website
    • Sept. 21-Oct. 2, 2022 - Online applications accepted
    • Oct. 18, 2022 - Board of Education conducts interviews
    • Nov. 15, 2022 - Board of Education approves the appointment of a new member
