We all know that school looks a lot different than it did even 10 years ago. With all of those devices, applications, emails, communications systems, and other technology both seen and unseen, making sure everything is running smoothly is a big job.
Ahead of National IT Professionals Day on Tuesday, Sept. 15, we wanted to highlight the incredible team charged with enabling effective learning, providing support and infrastructure, and doing just about everything else related to technology in Will County School District 92.

Will County School District 92 Board of Education and the teachers’ union are currently engaged in negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement. The District is committed to reaching an agreement that supports our teachers, staff, students, and families while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

As the anticipation for the next school year continues to build, there are two new faces at D92 that we wanted to introduce to the community. Corey Zych has taken over the role of Director of Technology for the district and Johnny Billingsley is stepping in as principal of Oak Prairie Junior High School.

At the end of the 2025-26 school year, the district will be saying goodbye to two amazing educators as they begin their next journey when they retire. Reading Interventionist Beth Daly and EL Teacher Mary Beth Clark have a combined 53 years of service to D92 and have made a huge impact on students and the sense of community in our district.

Students at Oak Prairie Junior High have lots of options for how they could spend their time with many clubs, teams, and activities they could join. For those looking for ways to grow as leaders and to take charge of some of the events happening for students, there is Student Council, which is open to any student with passing grades.

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an organization that is all about valuing scholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship for students in seventh and eighth grade. Similar to the high school organization, NJHS expects a lot of students but also adds value not only to their future college applications or work experience, but in their lives as well.
